AIRPORT TO OUR HOUSE
When leaving Tampa International Airport you will exit to the
right about a mile or so down the access road (there is only one
way out of the airport) and follow the signs to Rt 60
West. After leaving the access road (and exit), work
your way to the left since Rt 60 is a 3 lane turn to the left
with a stoplight right there in the middle of the highway!
Follow Rt 60 West from the airport (the road is also called the
Courtney Campbell Causeway) as it crosses the top of Tampa Bay.
Note: At the West end of the Causeway, which is several miles
long, the first road crossing over the top of Rt 60 (the first
overpass) is the right turn toward Bridlewood--
Just past the end of the Causeway you will see Rt 611
crossing over the top of Rt 60. Just before the overpass, turn
right (North) to go up the ramp to Rt 611 which
is McMullen Booth Rd. Stay on this road about 10 miles.
As you near 8 or 9 miles you will notice that the road becomes
elevated to allow another road (Tampa Rd) to pass under it.
Continue straight over the overpass. At the first light after the
overpass, get in the right hand lane. (McMullen Booth Rd. has a
name change and becomes East Lake Road after the overpass)
At the SECOND light the right lane ends, which is OK because you
will turn right onto TARPON WOODS BLVD.
Proceed along this road for 1.1 miles to a 4-way stop sign. Go
straight through the stop sign (after stopping) and, after a
short block, take the very next right which is Stag Thicket Lane. This is the south entrance to Bridlewood.
